For older adults

Your day, your home, your way.

Babbl helps with everyday things, so you can keep doing them yourself. Understanding a letter, remembering an appointment, getting something sorted. Simply by talking about it.

Yourself. Together. With a little help.

Independent doesn’t mean alone.

Sometimes you simply sort something out yourself. Sometimes you’d rather do it together with someone you trust. And sometimes a bit of extra help is welcome. Babbl adapts to what you want at that moment — not the other way round. Today with a little help, tomorrow back to doing it yourself.

Understanding letters

Take a photo of a letter with your phone. Babbl explains in plain language what it says and whether you need to do anything about it.

Remembering appointments

“When was I due at the dentist again?” Babbl knows, and reminds you in good time.

Keeping a shopping list

“Put coffee on my list.” If you’d like, someone you trust can see it and add to it.

“Is this really safe?”

A strange phone call, a text message that doesn’t seem right? Ask Babbl before you do anything. More about this ↓

Your email

“Any post?” Babbl tells you what has come in and explains it. Babbl skips the adverts and points out suspicious messages separately.

Bringing someone in

“Could you let Peter know what time my appointment is?” You decide who hears what, and when.

Scams and fake messages

Not sure? Ask first.

Scammers call pretending to be “the bank”, and send emails and text messages about parcels or fake invoices. Babbl helps you tell fake from real — before you pay, pass anything on or click anything. If your email is connected, Babbl keeps an eye on that too.

  • “Someone from the bank is asking for my PIN. Is that allowed?”
  • “I have to pay for a parcel. Is that real?”
  • “Should I click the link in this email?”
  • “I’ve got a bill I don’t recognise. Do I have to pay it?”

Babbl thinks things through with you, but it can get things wrong. Still not sure? Call the organisation yourself, on a number you already know.

“I got a text saying I have to pay €1.95 for a parcel. Is that real?”

“That looks like a fake message. Delivery companies don’t ask for money through a link like that. Don’t click on it. Are you actually expecting a parcel? Then it’s better to check with the shop directly.”

And nobody can simply add a new number through Babbl or join your circle remotely.
